Said in my previous note a year ago that I wouldn't touch another of these until 2015, but based on advice from two Burgundy winemakers, I'm not waiting. According to them, these 2007's (a so-so vintage) are not age worthy. This has developed noticeably since last time. The nose is just as pretty as I remember - very attractive aromas of ripe cherries, spice, earth and herbs. Has loosened up a bit - now showing better definition to its tangy strawberry and pomegranate fruit. Lots of minerality on the long finish. Still just a bit tight, tannic and herbal, but very nice overall - especially for the vintage. An elegant and delicious Beaune les Teurons. 50+5+12+16+8=91

This has a very attractive nose of cherries, vanilla, sous bois and spice. Medium-bodied and very silky, but quite firm and restrained. Lots of tart, tangy cherry, raspberry and pomegranate fruit along with a bit of spice and a bright, lively acidity. Shows decent length too. Not a world-beater, but for a 2007 this is exceptionally good. Just needs a few more years of cellar time to loosen up. I've got three of these left and won't be opening another before 2015. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that getting the wax capsule off the bottle was incredibly messy and not a lot of fun. 50+5+12+15+8=90

Rather lovely. Nothing too grand but just a very moreish savoury Burg with notes of raspberry and autumnal undergrowth. Yum. Good value at £25.

Very different from last bottle. Beautiful nose of strawberry, iron, herbs, earthy. Great burst of acidity on the palate. Solid backbone. Really good.

Odd minty, herbal, rubbery nose. Similar on palate. Rough. Seemed under-ripe. Not good.
