(13.5%) Agiorgitiko 90%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10% - One of my long time, low fare ($10) Greek staples this is my first try of the 2010 vintage. Slight change in blend and uptick in alcohol from previous years. That said this one is bright and snappy with fresh, crunchy fruits and a savory spiced finish. Still perfectly food-friendly! Looking for an alternative to your everyday pizza wine? Give this one a try…

Entry level Agiorgitiko from one of Nemea's top producer. Medium ruby looking very young. Blackberries, plums, liquorice on the nose with no overt oak influence. Smooth on palate with soft acidity and medium- ripe tannins that balance medium alcohol and elegant body. Well made, easy drinking wine.

Great Days of Nemea 2013 (Nemea Town Hall and the wineries and vineyards of the region): Tasted at Nemea Town Hall during the "Great Days of Nemea" festivities. Evolved nose of red cherry and undergrowth. Medium-bodied with somewhat stewed fruit and medium length.
