Surprising flavor and length. Did not expect that, due to its age and the region. On the expensive side, but was a purchase from a trip to Canada several years ago with our kids to see Niagra Falls from the Canadian side.

Pleasant enough Cab Franc. Typical of the CF made in New York, and here, from near Niagra Falls, on the Canadian side. Light in body and flavor. Drinks well. Not a lot of finish. Good for lighter fare. Had with a 'Salad' pizza, which is heavy on the veggies and light on the cheese.

I picked this from a wine tasting bar and brought a bottle home. Never had a 100% Cab Franc, so I was curious. After spending some time with this bottle, I understand better why this grape is rarely vinified alone. Mostly dark fruit and bitter tannins. Lacks brightness and I found I lost interest after two glasses. Not bad, but not worth the $22 price tag.

One dimensional fuit with choclate notes and some good amount of body and oak finish. A bit candied in its aproach but the dark jammy fruit is a good - the wine lacks some secondary flavors and has a bit of an astringent finish that is slightly offputing but not nearly enough to avoid this wine.

Bouquet is overwhelmed by alcohol; taste is pungent and bitter; would not buy again.
