I usually like wines that have some age on them, because I like earthy, barnyardy, funky kinds of wines. This one was very raisin-like. It still had some acidity, but it's gone. Purchased today at a wine store, consumed today. Open about an hour now, and the more it opens up, the more unpleasant it gets. Disappointed, but I took a chance on an 8 year old wine.

An initial whiff of burnt rubber blew off to reveal vegetable and herb fragrances with a hint of white pepper. The wine is dark red but doesn't have the body of a big Barossa shiraz. Pleasant fruit, light to medium bodied and easy enough on the palate. Good mid week drinking now but I wouldn't trot it out for the weekend roast or a dinner party. 89

Typically Shiraz nose with aromas of violets and black pepper. Quite simple anyway. Palate remembering all those old school carbonic fermentation Rioja from Rioja Alavesa tasting like some strawberry candies. Still firmly tannic yet at the softie side. Enough alcoholic strength to face a homemade cocido madrileño.

easy drinking Shiraz. Don't expect to much, and you won't be disapointed... though it has a very strong "burned rubber" nose.

A big juicy fruit bomb with a bit of back bone. There's nice density and length on the palette.
