I'm not convinced this wine deserves the exalted status of "reserve". I'm surprised of the really clear, and even slightly browning color. I do love the nose which is pure black fruit with a minimal of secondary flavors, except for some pretty hot alcohol. As we taste through the fruit, there are some enhancing secondary flavors trying to emerge, telling me this wine is in it's "dumb" stage, deserving some more time in the bottle. Tried some violent, almost wine spilling, swirling and reverse swirling, which softened the mouth feel, but did not release any new flavors. I am trying to feel an intensity that is not at this time, but possibly, in the future may reveal itself. So, we have gotten this far, and have not determined whether this tastes like Pinot. The answer is almost. There are hints of a wet earthiness and crushed rocks, with some flavors of cloves and minerals, which together with the correct viscosity might lead us to pick this out blind as Pinot. Continuing through the glass, there is way too much artificial acid taste to give this a big score. The finish is plum and acid. I'm disappointed.

Good with Swedish Meatballs and Creamed Potatoes. Bouquet of white chocolate and pepper. Tastes of red fruit. This paired well with our meal.
