Drank it at an outdoor concert. After taking sips of all the flavored moscato being passed around it was a welcome respite. At this QPR a favorite for outdoor events.

Sweet and fruity up front, the Moscato and Riesling come first. Finishes crisp, this is where the Chardonnay shows through. An easy drinker, nothing fancy but I would buy again at $10 a bottle.

Nose: Light, peaches. Palate: Pushing dessert wine. I would prefer it to be more acidic to balance the sweetness. Peaches, honeysuckle, pineapple. You can detect the characteristics of each varietal used, however it leans heavy on Moscato. Notes: Not bad, but I can't quite call it good either. A few more vintages to get the balance right, and the potential could come out.

Boyd Morrison is a billiant winemaker! I love Apothic Red and just tried Apothic White and This guy can make wonderful purses from Sow's ears!. Nose is predominated by the moscoto but you can get the fruit hints from the Riesling and some Chardonnay notes on the nose. The mouth is astonishing for its complexity in this price range. First you taste the acid and bite of the riesling which immediately is mellowed by a buttery smoothness (Is that a chard malolactic butter?) and then the fruity sweetness of the moscato comes forward. I really don't like Sweet white wines unless they are very well made and complex and this one is both. The crispness flows right into the mellow richness but it stays throughout the mouth. The sweetness is just about right for the blend...it balances the wine well and blends well with the character of the total wine. Finish stays int the middle and front part of the tongue and the butter/smoothness hangs on for an extremely long time -maybe a bit too long in that it can take away from the next sip. I had this wine by itself, with Honey goat cheese and with (YES) gummybears and it stood the test of all those and still tasted good. I will buy more of this for sipping or maybe more correctly guzzling but it will not be a wine for fine dining. It is much more like a dessert wine than anything else.... Well done Boyd.
