  • Decanted for two hours. Had with salame. One of the most knockout ice cream sundae noses I've ever encountered. Gosh I could sniff for hours. Very dense. Could be mistaken for a Napa cab which I guess is the very reason this makes traditionalists toss n turn at night. I usually side with them and like leaner lighter more elegant and less extraction alcohol n winemaker magic. But this is hard not to enjoy. Mid palate has some green pepper but flows over the tongue nicely. Tannins at an acceptable level with a good decant.

  • Lovely wine drinking well now and likely to improve in the coming years. Great wine for the money. Buy more if you can find it.

  • Had the leftovers of this bottle as a nightcap. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Very chewy/grainy texture with intense black fruit, currants, oak, and green pepper. Interesting spicy meat stick finish. Highly recommended if your style is huge wine otherwise, give it a few years to mellow.

  • 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot. 33,000 bottles made. Brilliant black-ruby. Rich, warm, intense fruit. Open attack. Pure fresh fruit - currants and blackberries - and immediate refreshing balsamic note with nuances of oak. Palate is flowing and intense, based on sweet black fruit, plenty of charred notes and oak. Initial texture is silky, but then tannins get too uneven and pronounced. Toasty, woody finish and with a long spicy note. Too much oak now, but try it in 8+ years. Tasted at producer's event in Milan.
