Deep ruby in color, with truffle, licorice, dark cherry, spice and coffee scents, this medium bodied, charming St. Emilion offers a finish filled with bright, fresh, black raspberries and vanilla. 88-90 Pts

Blind tasting of Grand Cercle wines 2011 vintage: Part I (Château Bellefont-Belcier): Mentholated notes, with oak derivation and red fruit. The palate has more sap than many others here, even if the finish is somewhat astringent and marked by high acidity and noticeable tannin. Overall, I dislike the drying tannin, so no go.

GJE CRD 2008 and EP 2011; 3/29/2012-4/4/2012 (Bordeaux, France): Not the level of the 09 and the 10. Fresh, blueberry driven, silky palate but noticeable tannins.
