Powerful wine! Deep, dark color, complex nose. Wonderful dark fruits with chocolate, vanilla and a deep sweetness. Harmonious and silky finish, longlasting. This wine attracts all senses. Great.

High marks for this - very modern new world stuff. Carmenere adds a twist that makes high grade Cabernet even more interesting. Could have been 93-94 if it wasn’t for 15% alcohol, making it almost port-like.
Excellent for strong stinky cheeses or for a steak with garlic spices. Probably good for another decade.

Dark fruited wine with pronounced notes of blackcurrants, blackberry preserve and earth. Bitter chocolate and spices too. High alcohol is evident as are grippy mouth-drying tannins. Due to these imbalances the wine is less enjoyable than its age and pedigree would suggest. As stated elsewhere it can actually be a great steak wine but for pure drinking pleasure of its own this is somewhat questionable.
