  Splits the difference between the first two bottles. Still a bit clunky on the finish as far as heat, but also more integrated, mature and balanced.

  Different from prior bottle 4 years ago. Black fruit and cigar box, less tobacco, stronger roasted fruit qualities on the palate. Big tannic structure, though not astringent. Deep, structured wine, but lacking some of the freshness and vibrancy in initial tasting. Bottle variation or evolution?

  Very nice wine. Full-bodied. Currants, blackberries and meat notes as well. Aged nicely and drank really well without a decant. Sorry this was my last one. Will definitely seek out again.
