This wine is currently viewed by critics as near the head of the pack for Australian Pinot. I was keen to try and hoping that i would be inspired.
The nose was almost mute, but I could definitely detect some vegetal complexity (positive) that I assume was whole bunch related. The palate is rich and mouth filling . Tasty, but never approaching magic. May need more time.

Screwcap, 14.5% alc. Bottle 202 of 3780. MV6 clone.
Opaque, dark colour with some bricking.
Brambly, raspberry, strawberry, brooding and dense nose. Tobacco and some stemmy complexity. Forest floor savoury elements follow.
Fruit sweetness on the palate, fanning out at the rear. Chewy tannins. This must have been a brute upon release.

Superb Pinot drinking beautifully now. Very impressive juice here that is expertly handled. One of the best Australian Pinots I've tried.
