Cherry cola, spice, cinnamon, vanilla. Wine was tight, but opened up after 1 hour. A bit mild for Oregon, but still a nice wine. Had it with a 2005 Killakanoon Shiraz Testament. Unfortunately the Shiraz won.

The second of two from what could be viewed as the "entry level" White Rose line-up. More than a year after the first one, and perhaps even then a tad premature. It might be the least expensive but it is none the poorer for that. Brilliant bright ruby color in the glass, quite effusive brambly, floral aroma (not so much your barnyard funk here), bracing tart cherries, fairly straightforward but plenty to enjoy.

Pale-to-medium ruby with a bit of a garnet rim. Medium intensity appealing-intriguing nose of strawberry and cherry; wood/damp; and minor floral and spice notes. Dry, middle acidity and tannins; medium body. Sour cherry dominates the palate, along with a burnt wood quality. Decent length; tart finish.

The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Cranberry, Raspberry, Cherry, and Light toast. It tastes like Cranberry, and Burnt. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Angular texture. The wine finishes Medium. Acidic finish.
Solid value for $24
