  • Over oxydated, explosion en vol, pshitt.

    Excellent!

  • Pale brass colour. Needs some time and air to open up. Then honey in the nose, waxy notes, pear and herbs like tarragon and chervil, some whitethorn as well. In the mouth, this is fairly full-bodied, quite massive actually, the high alcohol is well integrated and doesn't show as high as it is. Pear again. Quite long, really enjoyable.

  • Good, but I'm just not feeling this bottle as much as the first one I tried; the heat comes through too much (14.5%) and there's definitely a caramel-like Bourbon oxidative character that I often enjoy in some Savennieres (as sometimes occurs in the Joly wines), but which feels unbalanced here. Not bad, but not my best experience with this bottle.
