Dark, almost black. Sweet black fruit, vanilla and pepper on the nose. Great flavours on the palate with lovely blackberry and currant fruit with a long spicy pepper finish.

Inky purple, sweet nose. Entry a bit too sweet but finds some balance once the shock wears off. Not a mouthcoating wine and a step behind the Billi Billi but nevertheless, a good step above "just wine".

D'arenberg produces some spectacular wines and this celebration wine in collaboration with the wine society is lovely drinkable example of what they do best. The label, a cartoon cricketer, makes the wine stand out as an immediate talking point. The wine it self is smooth with a soft bouquet and lots of generous Shiraz qualities-definitely not heavy at all. More please and at the price you can't go wrong.

Purple, red colour. Raspberry, minerality and toast on nose. Raspberry, tar and a bit of oak on palette. Good balance. Quite young - needed to open but good wine.
