Tasted at Bernard's, Ridgefield, CT - Xavier Monnot lunch (with Xavier Monnot). All the Monnot wines are domaine bottled. Not yet released. Very young, dense and chewy, with some reductive notes hiding the aromas and flavors of vanilla cream and roasted black cherry. Finishes long and very, very ripe with notes of cherry cola and fresh herbs. A wine to watch for.
