  90 minute decant. Strong nose of oak and smoke with some red currant, and a touch of macadamia nut. On the supple palate, black cherry, black raspberry, and blueberry fruit washes over the tongue, adding minerals, asphalt, and touches of anise, red licorice, and red bell pepper. Finish is quite soft and peters out quickly, with fully resolved tannins, red raspberry fruit, and gentle earth flavors. The finish is lacking both intensity and energy at this point. Drink soon.

  Lovely layered experience with a texture of crushed velvet. Has started upon its maturity path, so engaging and very attractive.

  VERY ready to drink. The color has faded and upon first opening this wine seemed flat but after some time in the glass it livened up.
