From the earlier notes, this seems to have gotten a little better integrated with age.
Smooth flavors of apple, lemon and grapefruit. Good acid balance. A little strong on fruit, but worked well on a warm night with spicy seafood pasta with olive oil. Kept on the cooler side in an ice bucket while drinking.
Would buy again - solid SB overall

Nose carries slight hints of grass and earth. Palate is grapefruit. Plenty of tartness and acidity. Really shines with food. Chicken piccata was a near perfect match. Medium length finish.

When I have a Sauvignon Blanc, I want it to taste like a Sauvignon Blanc. While this was a fine wine, it would've fooled me in a blind tasting. Flavors and aromas of cumquat, quince and sour orange. Bright acids, but rich on the palate for a SB. Good, not great.

(Avennia Sauvignon Blanc Boushey Vineyard Yakima Valley) An aromatically intriguing wine with smoke, toast, roasted nuts, citrus, and a complex medley of grass and herbal notes. The palate in medium bodied with a creamy feel, starting out broadly and then pulling back and showing a sense of lightness and elegance on the back half accented by tart, lemony acidity throughout. A style that will fit in best at the dinner table rather than sitting and sipping. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Barrel fermented in French oak (10% new) and aged sur lies for eight months. 225 cases produced. Sample provided by winery

This wine has definitely mellowed from when I last tasted it, but it's losing some of it's bright citrus flavors, so is ready to drink.
