  • Incredible molten gold colour - I don't often mention the colour of wine but this one warrants it. Next it is difficult (for me) to distinguish between oak influences and bottle ageing: once a little sulphur has blown off there's a deliciously honeyed but zesty nose, moreishly rich. On the palate it's quite the same, but perhaps a touch less promising. That said there's all the toasty, nutty rich notes you'd expect from this very Burgundian attempt. Delish, but perhaps not a purists' choice...
