  • Light gold in colour. Supple melons, a touch of "peachiness" about it, with some lemon butter and flint. For me this wine is in a perfect place; the fruit, resolved acidity and french oak are all so balanced, the finish is long and lush. I thought this was a very good wine drinking beautifully now.

  • Pale yellow gold with green tinges in colour at Feb 17 . ageing quick.
Showing some maturity of bottle development with toasty aged citrus fruit . I am a little surprised of that , but due to the ave vintage for certain.
Clean well made wine now showing rapid mature bottled developed fruit on palate , with peachy toasty fig flavours. Still some fruit , but drink quick as ageing quick . Best drinking last year i guess or very fresh . Drink up by 2017.

  • Pop and poured. At B&B PP. Drank over 2 hours. Screw-cap.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of flinty minerality and citrus lemon fruit. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon, white peach, flinty minerality. Rounded with sweet cream with more air. Medium finish.
Rather nice and good quality in the first 30 minutes. With more air, it actually descends into flabby sweet fruit. Drink up, will not improve much with ageing.
55% Clare Valley fruit and 45% from Margaret River.

  • Wakefield/Taylors: Medium gold color. Bold aromatics of apricot and baked yellow apples, topped with chopped nuts, honey, white tea and a hint of chalk. Creamy texture on the palate, but balanced out a bit by moderate acidity. Fresh apricot and yellow apple fruit mix with notes of cinnamon, clove and nougat, but the French oak elements are woven in well. Some white flower and chalk flavors as well. Fun, juicy, toasty stuff but the freshness keeps this interesting.
