Dark and dense purple red. Cool fruit, dark chocolate and mint on the nose. Has developed from a big and chewy wine into something much more elegant. Plenty of soft tannins. Just lovely.

Enjoyed with friends over dinner. Still young, strikingly so. Purple and blue fruits and berry notes throughout, along with aromatic herbs and spices. Stalwart frame, quality oak is still integrating. Patience, at least three to five years, will prove rewarding. 92-93.

Deep red/purple in colour. The nose is moderately strong, with a mix of black and blue fruits with plums, cedar, mint, cinnamon and tar. Full bodied on the concentrated and tannic palate, with similar flavours on show, and both earthy and mineral notes. Rather modern in style, and still young, given the tannins on show, but still tasty and not too over the top (B+/A-).

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of dark purple colour, with narrow fading rim and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of black fruit of blackberry, dried fruit of prune, kernel notes of chocolate, herbal notes of mint, oak notes of cedar, maturity notes of savory, floral notes of violet. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, medium (+) alcohol, full body, with medium (+) flavours of black fruit of blackberry and plum, dried fruit of prune, oak notes of cedar, sweet spice of clove. The wine has a medium finish. Conclusion: Good quality Douro with a reasonably intense nose showing good complexity, the wine has good vibrancy with nice acidity, robust and integrated tannin, a good concentrated flavour as well as a decent finish. It is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.

Ruby red. Cool fruit, dark chocolate, mint, prunes and some oak on the nose. In the mouth chewy and big with sweet fruit. Has kept well, but the wine has not become better the past years.
