Interesting nose - mineral and lees driven - waxy, lanolin. On taste fruit and mineral flavors but bracing acidity. A bit off balance - you need to search out food to match with. Good finish. I am not sure if it is the acid or the alcohol that is bracing. Good complexity but one wonders why bother when Macon is at the same price point and there are many more balanced examples. I am searching for reasonable California Chardonnay that has some interest but at a competitive price point with France. So far need to keep searching. On a positive note - this is not your average BS Cali chard with oak chips and butter. At least there is some interest to this wine.

Pear nose. Acidic. Apple and pear on the palate. Pleasing mouthfeel.
