  • Explosive nose, classic bold cassis black cherry jam and vanilla notes,.classic of a fine Napa cab. Full, complex, with long finish. Perfect to drink now. Loved it plenty.

  • Opened and poured straight into decanter. Strong smell of blackberry jam struck me right away. After an hour decant, nose had dissipated some but not much. First taste was of blackberry, tobacco and leather. Very velvety tannins. It is supposed to be around 15% alcohol, but it hardly noticeable to me. A great California cab. To bad the winery had sold and this cab will no longer be produced by winemaker Ed Snider.

  • This is one of my all time favorite wines. A classic Napa Cab, but not overly concentrated or “fruit bomby” like many from California. Medium body, moderate complexity, medium-long finish with round but soft tannins. Robert Parker says to drink by 2020, but I believe if he tasted again now, he would extend to 2025 at least. I’ll say it’s drinking perfectly now, but could be just as good for another 2-3 years before it starts to fade. Such a shame that this winery sold and they no longer make this particular blend. Truly a fantastic wine!

  • A very nice wine enjoyed with dinner tonight. This wine was very fruit expressive, but the biggest thing that the wife remembers about this wine was drinking too fast. The ABV on this wine is massive, and it will definitely put you in a weird place if you decide to consume this one perhaps a bit too quick. It is very easy to do, as this is a MONSTER of a wine. Black licorice, hint of vanilla, fig, and a hint of young shoe leather are all components of this wine that make it YUMMY.

  • I loved this cab. Very cali-cabish with deep, dense dark color, fruit forward, new world style with power and length. Nice integration of the 15.2% alcohol and velvet tannins. Lot's going on with this wine. I take my hat off to my (Napa) Back Room Wine club consultant for including this in my quarterly selection (fall, 2013). This wine was very tight on the initial pop'n pour, but opened nicely during our 1.5 hr. dinner at the Old Stone Inn (Washington, MI)
