Dark purple with a tinge of dark red rose color on the rim. Moderate-plus viscosity. Aromas of boysenberry, plum, lilac and roses are enticing on the nose, Hints of toast, brown sugar, wood, spice, orange peel and cream. The palate is full with ripe chewy tannins, moderate-plus acidity and flavors of boysenberry, vanilla whipped cream, flowers, blueberry, raspberry and rose water. The finish is floral with a thread of raspberry, that is medium-minus in intensity and length.

Drinks more like a Syrah than a Tempranillo. Big and rich with plenty of buttery oak on both nose and palate with dark red fruit. Tannins are brawny and powerful. Lacks the characteristic acidity of great Cypher wines. Solid but a lesser wine from this producer.

A bit ripe with some new oak showing through...soft and full bodied with a broad approachable style....definitely a newer world expression of Tempranillo...

Popped and poured, at my son's house in CA. He bought it at the winery. Bright fruity nose, dark, red/purple color. Spicy, with lots of red fruit on the palate. Spicy, long finish. Wine was nicely balanced this young. Good stuff.
