Plum, dark blue fruit, rose petals, hints of lavender. Fairly linear, low acidity but smooth with some chocolate and fruit and shortish finish. Pretty standard Cabernet that is at plateau maybe

I’ve had several bottles of Kapcsandy’s Roberta’s Reserve, a top of the line merlot that always blows me away. The Kapcsandy Cabernets, not so much. Over several vintages and bottles I’ve found the Estate Cabernet to be, as they say, Bordeaux-like, which to me unfortunately means fairly drab and uninteresting. A well-made wine that will provide a balanced, maybe even elegant background for a nice meal. But nothing that stands out to grab my attention.

This is first entering its drinking window if not even still a little early. Fantastic effort. Drank on NYE with a 3 hour decant.
Believe 2010 was he last year the Estate cuvée was 100% cab. Deep inky purple. Nose is blueberries, dark cherries, mushroom. Medium/medium low intensity.
Excellent mouth feel and really a great overall vibrancy from this wine. It’s dry but tannins have become quite silky and the wine finishes nice and long just keeps on going. Get chocolate and those dark fruits on the pallet along with some slate.
Still think the best is yet to come here. Recommend hold for another 1-2+ years.

Dense rich dry. While I typically dissuade cross continent comparisons, I think this could pass as a top flight Pauillac (but with some Cali richness) At its very early stage of a drinking window
