  • I had one of these not too long ago and thought it was past it’s prime. This bottle is singing loud and proud. Tertiary nose features sweet everything: oak, cherry, boysenberry syrup, blueberry cobbler, molasses, and rose. Full bodied, it’s dense and mostly smooth with juicy acid and slightly gritty tannin. The sweet flavor profile includes black cherry, black plum, cassis, currant, cinnamon, black licorice, black pepper, and worn leather. Just a brilliant wine with loads of sweet fruit, earth, and an amazing structure.

  • A little passed it's prime - the fruit is a bit pruned - but it's still delicious. The nose features black cherry, blueberry, kirsch, Asian 5 Spice, beet, and tomato leaf. It's fully medium bodied with bright acid and dense, finely grained tannin, that are both just a little tired. Flavors include cherry, blackberry, sweet tobacco and leather, and dried fig and prune. With extended air, it develops the added depth of sweet spearmint and semi-sweet licorice. Drink now.
