88&90 Produttori Study (Cru and Domaine, Portland OR): This is extremely expressive and perfumed as it fills the glass with raspberries, dried red cherries, cranberries, spice notes, tar, licorice, menthol, earth tones, violets, balsamico, and some tobacco leaf. This has a lot of depth with a real layered effect that takes a few goes to get it all in. The Medium/full bodied feel is deep and balanced with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. This is right in its window. It leans more towards the tertiary side of the hill now, but there is still a lot of red-ness to the fruit with it all marrying beautifully together.

Second Sunday Group: Older California Pinots (Barb's): Faded crimson core with a good bit of bricking. Aroams of spice, perfume, florals, white currants and red fruit. Very well-balanced, with plenty of fruit remaining; currants, prune, cherry and floral qualities, with a dusty/earthy note on the finish. Lovely.

Lovely aromas of cherry, soy, tar, roses, asian spice. Delicate and balanced fruit backed up by firm tannins that give strength and structure to the body and finish. This drinking remarkably fresh right now. Another really nice wine by the Produttori.
