Some pinot and chardonnay at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): This is a fairly odd wine, but despite all those oddities, it's kind of enjoyable. A fairly generous amount of spritz to start. Flintstone vitamins come to mind here, and there are definitely flavours that evoke sour beers more than wine on the nose and palate. For me, the interesting sensation is that the wine starts off a bit funky, but this intense and clean stream of acidity swoops in and cleans everything up. Definitely fun to try, but this wouldn't be the sort of wine that I'm regularly hankering to drink.

Super. Quite energetic and young still. Vibrant. One of the best chards I've had from Overnoy. Probably best in another few years.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Medium golden to the eyes.
Roasted nutty, mature apricots and bruised white peaches and plums. Very strong spices on the finish.
95 points.
Second round: savoury, nutty notes. Very good stone fruits and yellow fruits. Superbly integrated now. This is clearly improved this round.
