    Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo

Certainly a step up from the 2012 vintage. Event though still painfully young, this is a wonderful elegant and velvet Barolo 94-95+

Drunk parallel to the d'auvenay. Certainly very good, but my memory could only process the d'Auvenay :)

This is the tragic of great wine nights: You are already fully loaded and than someone hands you a wine like this!
Hard to describe, pretty unique. This is great art and I am so humbled to drink it. Wonderful experience. I do understand why people pay almost any price for d'Auvenay.

This is the tragic of great wine nights: You are already fully loaded and this is the last wine!
Thank you very much to the noble donor! This is Pinot in perfection and yes, it already makes great fun. Silky, velvet texture and elegance, intoxicating nose. Again: This is great art and I am so humbled to drink it. Wonderful experience and I sincerley hope, that I get another chance to taste it in the future. Points? No points. Just a deep smile on my face when I remember the wine.
