We joined our neighbours for an elegant end of summer dinner at their house. Food was fantabulous and wine wonderful. The first white of the night, we sipped with more than satisfied anticipation at a rare Nuit St. Georges chardonnay (blended with 10% Pinot Blanc). Transparent and bright green on the eye. Spring flowers with citrus and a hint of oak. A voluptuous, crisp freshness with smooth oak and vanilla cream on the palate. A slightly tartiness on the finish, but subtle. We still have another bottle that we will let sit in the cellar as we feel some age will allow this luvly wine to blossom!

Finely sculpted and deeply fruited, this stays on the path thanks to an abundance of fresh acids. Medium-bodied, nicely weighted and textured, with apples, cream, butter, stones and a tickle of wood. Clean, focused, lovely. $45 is certainly the top end for this (a friend grabbed it off of Last Bottle), at which point I'd be happy to have a stash of six or more to drink over the next decade. 13,5% abv. recommended
Served non-blind; solid future here.

White fruit (peach, citrus), nice acidity. Slight floral. Very bright. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable. Minerality. Some creaminess/ richness.

Guldaktig färg,ek och citrus, lång djup eftersmak med viss syra. tål att lagras ytterligare men god nu. Prisvärd! Perfekt till Chicken Gaston Gerard.
