Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 87 points

  • A reasonable, still very youthful and surprisingly thin and light entry level CA zin enjoyed recently at the monthly Hickory Wine Club tasting as part of a CA zin flite. This is at best a reasonable QPR at the average CT price point of the previous vintages. My least favorite wine of the flite. Ruby red, medium bodied, balanced fruit and tannins with a short clipped aftertaste. Hot nose of blueberry, blackberry and anise with primary flavors of allspice, licorice, black pepper and dark fruit up front with a more steely graphite finish.
