  • Fullbodied and long, typical Chianti colour, nose and taste, just a Little bit to much alcohol. Drink up until 2022.

  • Deep ruby red with high optical density and medium reflectivity with a silghtly yellow rim. Very big intensity on the nose, with cherry, sweet tobacco, forest flowers and forest must, savory notes with some tar, spice, and herbs with a lot of swirling complexity. Full bodied and medium acidity on the palate with a rich and broad cross-section of intensity. The texture is rustic yet refined, with a good presence of medium grained tannins on the back end. Very dry, and yet with a really nice balanced of glycerin to provide a clean profile with no sense of bitterness. Flavours of cherry and tobacco on the attack, with a sappiness. The midpalate brings on the spices, with a mouthwatering mix of forest herbs and a focused kick of spice. The fruit still swirls around the other flavours at this point, buidling to a crecendo of smoky forest on a long finish. Really nice intensity and complexity here, with complementary oak notes that provide great interest without being overt- very well integrated!

This is a really nice wine that is drinking very nicely- still a lot of power here, and should hold up for some time. Good value, made in a fresh and elegant style that lets the wine show through- more transparent than modern for sure. Has a rustic and wild charm that really complements the more polished areas to provide a nice tension that naturally compels the palate to search for more- which seems is easily found. Excellent with food, and with enough richness and spiciness to complement robust Italian. Really great!

  • Medium brick red ruby that is clear with a flat surface and medium plus optical density. Very intense and gorgeous nose, with bright earthy cherry, musk, spices, and some aromatic tar-infused tobacco. Really gains over time, with a wild, almost feral nature that is as appealing as it is intriguing. On the palate, it has medium body and refreshing acidity that frame a dry and well-structured feel, with medium intensity of tannins that provide a clean and clear mouthfeel that is even textured with good density and concentration of flavours. The attack shows really full cherry fruit, with other red berries over a spicy tobacco and forest floor foundation. The midpalate is full and rich, with some savory meatiness adding to the fruit. The final transitions shows an aromatic and spicy kick, leaving a medium length finish with really nice intensity. This is really well-balanced and well made wine, with deftly integrated oak components that add to the fruit and earthy components perfectly. This is drinking really nice at the moment, but does seem to have a lot of life left. Represents excellent QPR by outdoing the quality category for a great sense of Tuscany and Sangiovese. Super delicious, this harkens to both the mind and the stomach, providing an overall wonderful experience- either alone or paired with cheese or dinner. Awesome!
