Very pale burgundy. Fresh, sharp nettle on the nose. Light bodied. A burst of sharp raspberry nicely balanced by the acid. A barest hint of pepper keeps it balanced. Long to medium finish nicely rounds out this enjoyable bottle

Red with just a hint of orange. So fragrant - rose, raspberry, red cherry, plums, earth, undergrowth. Tastes pretty similar. Bold flavour without losing elegance. Developing some gamey savoury notes. Perfect drinking now.

Tasted among many of the flagship pinots from Australia and New Zealand. The New Zealand wines tended to be fuller-bodied, heavier and darker fruit than the Australian examples. This was possibly my favourite of the lot, being lighter and more delicate than the NZ pinots. It had funky notes that added extra interest.

Premium Pinot Noir Releases (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): Mornington Peninsula has some cracker Pinots for 2010 and this is right up there with the best. The nose is fresh red cherry with dried florals, herbs and spice. The palette shows a good earthiness with the acidity supporting the soft fruits nicely.

Excellent mature aussie pinot, fully resolved. Light in body but good length and depth of flavour. Drinking at its peak, I'd say.
