  • First white wine I've ever had from Geantet-Pansiot, and it's a winner and very much in keeping with the style of their reds, which is to say that it's dense and mouthfilling but still very well defined. In fact this manages to pull off the perfect balance between luscious fruit on the one hand and taut, tensile structure on the other. The personality is kind of similar to a Rhys chardonnay actually, which isn't bad for a $20 AOC Bourgogne. The fruit turns a bit leaner in the leftovers but leaves a nice fresh chalky backdraft on the finish. I will buy more of this for sure.
