  I hate to be the one that throws the turd into the punch bowl at the party but having drank many Miner wines I have to say that this is probably my most dissapointing. The nose is next to non-existant and what is there is very jammy. The color is as awesome as as any of the best Cabs with body to boot but that is where the similarities end. The texture is course but not like overly tanic--it is just rough and anything but polished. The finish while not unpleasant evaporates quickly and makes yo want to guzzle another sip. I'm a big Miner fan but this wine does not live up to the name and the quality of the rest of thier wines. It was not very expensive and rightly so. Pizza wine at best and I would not serve this to anyone I wanted to impress. I'm predicting aging will not help this much but it will probably not hurt either. No hurry to drink but keep it for something non-special.
