From a Tasting Room 50ml sample. Nose: Medium expressiveness, red flowers, black cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke. Palate: Medium-full bodied, sweet and spicy dark red fruit attack, nice acidic back-bone, tobacco and leather mid-palate presence, and a surprising burst of spicy red fruit in the back-end which dominates a lengthy finish.

Decanted for two hours before tasting. Improved much over a couple hours, so I would give it at least 3 hours in a decanter on this time. The nose is smooth, with fruit, acidity and a subtle oak. The wine is medium-bodied, leaving a little wish for more complexity. Very smooth, well integrated between the oak and spice, with a decent finish. There are no harsh edges in the taste at first, but leaves a shorter finish than wished or expected. All in all, a very good cabernet sauvignon.

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Purple with some bricking. Aromas of oak, blueberry, and cherry, with additional spice and red currant flavors. The smooth tannins were in balance with the wine, and gave the effect of a medium bodied wine. The finish was long. Overall a decent cab.

Beautiful softened tannins. Impressive effort in my opinion. Structure and depth of the wine seems so much more than I was expecting. Heavy sediment.
