  • Prior bottle was 15 months ago and this wine is really showing well now, showing improvement and harmony as I'd expected/hoped. Nose continues to show a lot of black cherry and smattering of red cherry to along with the floral, earth and spice notes. Medium bodied with expressive black cherry upfront, supported by some red cherry notes. Mid-body shows greater depth of black cherry along with some hints of plum and blackberry towards the back. Balanced between tannins and acidity and the mid-body fruit continues to improve with a more integrated transition and more rounded in general, while still providing a good contrast and structure. Finishes with spices, earth and mineral notes. This wine has come a long way since the first time I tried it at the winery back in 2013. Has both the fruit and structure to remain in a very good spot for several more years. I'll plan to open my next bottle in Q1 2025.

  • consistent with previous note. Still has many years left. Second day it was much improved with strong cherry and black licorice flavor.

  • Over the hill and oxidized. Dumped after a few sips.

  • Excellent Nebbiolo!
This took some time to really show. I opened Friday 22 December, and tasted through to Christmas, which from bottle decant was absolutely perfect and loved it 4 days later.

It held classic nose of those flowers and tars, and had palate of lusciousness of big spices and length with Nebbiolo that made me really love this and was glad I had saved this for today.

I liked that it had no new oak. I liked that it was classic in representation of terroir and this was perfect for what I enjoy.
    Would buy again.

  • easy wine, just a little past its prime, very clean to taste with a light body at this age.
