First night: Quite disappointing after all the positive notes. Some pretty floral and pear notes but seemed quite faded and really lacked punch. Perhaps it suffered from drinking after the Amphibolite which is such a racy wine? Night two: Enjoyed this more on night two although still not as vibrant as expected. Dominant fruit aromas/flavors were peach and tangerine.

At JTYH Heavy Noodles: Fantastic vibrant Albarino with good acidity, boatloads of minerals, great depth, classic underripe peach; not your typical bubble gummy fruity-fun Rias Baixas. In Val de Salnes, certified organic. Awesome with the homemade Chinese food.

A tour of Spain (Berry Bros, London): Medium minus aromas of apricot tending to marzipan, cream but also, oddly, a slightly briny quality. In the mouth the wine has medium plus acid and is tart and juicy, slightly sour apricot with hints of green apple which persist on the medium plus length. Okay but simple

Blind tasted. Lemon zest, cut grass, lime juice, wet stone, tangerine. Acidity med plus, alcohol med minus. I guessed Pfalz Riesling.
