  • PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass: (“Leaf” day): Bright medium golden to the eyes.

On the nose it emits predominantly ripe citrus fruits like lemons, lemon peels and some fresh stone fruits in the background. Hints of white flowers and toast. Creme on the backend. Graceful.

Hints of reduction upfront on palate. Highly acidic that is very racy and ‘athletic’ as some may used to identify this vintage. Lean and well balanced. Clean, persistent finish with flavours of fresh stone fruits, toast and spices consistent with the nose.

By no means a powerful wine but this packs really good flavour intensity. I just cannot help but takes a deep nod on the style though I also do not see much improvement potentials from here onwards. 92-93 points.

  • Bright sherbet and brisk fruit - high acidity. Some good white flowers and a touch of oak. Decent enough, but fairly unmemorable.
