This 13 year old wine has surprisingly aged from a fruit rich very California meritage into a Bordeaux wine with upfront firm tannins, high acidity, and secondary cherry and blackberry fruit, that could pass for being from Medoc. The color now has a brick tone and there is a faint whiff of oxidation, but the wine remains excellent with food.

Comparable to previous note. Tannins have totally resolved and the oak is fully integrated. Still very enjoyable. Probably needs consumed sooner rather than later.

Medium to dark ruby red color. Nose has blackberries, raspberries, a bit of cherry and some dried herbs. Medium body with soft, but noticible tannins and good acidity. Nice flavors of blackberry and raspberry with some oak and dried herbs. The finish is mainly sweet raspberry and dried herbs and is of decent length. Not super ripe and concentrated like the majority of the wines we've had lately, a nice change up. Very enjoyable.

Nice rich blend of spice, oak and red berries. Is aging nicely and could safely cellar for an additional two years.

moderate legs, a little sour note on the finish, but overall a nice balance especially upon opening
