I've had corked wine, cooked wine, oxidized wine, wine with brett, secondary fermentation, VA and reduction. I don't think I've ever before had a properly stored wine that tasted like it may be on its way to becoming vinegar. That's my best guess as to what was wrong with this wine. Down the drain. I've generally had good luck aging petite syrahs, even inexpensive ones, for 10 plus years. Not so in this case.

It took about an hour to Open up. Great nose and mouth feel. Love the chewy but not aggressive tannins. Finish is a but lean. May evolve with a few more years.

Nice PnP wine...No need to decant although I did run it through a Vinturi. Dark and inky in color, very smooth in taste with a nice finish. It went well with chicken parmesean and roasted potatoes.

Very dark purple ink. Blueberry with hints of sage and leather. Rich blackberry with red plum, hints of cedar and balsam. Very dry finish, roasted plum and white pepper - increasingly toothy through finish as oak and leather build and wane. B-/87 = 50/5/10/8/7/7
