At initial opening this was indecipherable. Fruit was muted on nose and palate. Alcohol and acid were upfront and the tannins were present but fine-grained. However, by the second hour this began to flip and the dark red fruit was aromatic and silky. The acid was submerged and the alcohol was in check. I did expect more from one of the more iconic flagship reds in Canada.
