(Justina's new Kitchen) Interesting drop. Clear ruby in the glass, showing hopeful light raspberries and sour cherries on the nose, along with herbaciousness (basil, mint, parsley/coriander stalk) and an agreeable (and somewhat surprising) perfume of rose. Prominent youthful acidity and gangly tannins, with lightly textured strawberries/raspberries, herbacious stems, gunsmoke, ending abruptly on a lingering metallic bitter gravel (disconcerting). Has some Otago typicity in the minerality and even gunsmoke, but lacking finesse, balance and concentration. Incredibly enough - used for Justina's yummy Beef reduction pinot jus.

Graphite, some spice & some stem influence. Heavy acidity with some light red fruit on the palate.
