Exceeded expectations. Very good example of aged Napa Cabernet. Silky black cherry, cassis, blackberry fruit with notes of plum and pomegranate that carry through the finish. That is where subtle oak spice, vanilla, and Napa dirt fill in the gaps to balance out the wine.
It still has just enough acidity to keep the fruit fresh with the tannins fully resolved. Certainly peaking, drink now through 2020 for best results. Great QPR at US $25

Pretty good bottle. Took a while to open up at this age. Good mouthfeel, plenty dry for my taste. Not a lot of complexity and a little disjointed in the mid-palate. Not a long finish, but it carries well enough. QPR is good at $21.

Popped and poured. Drank over 1.5 hours. This had a very dark color to it. Got some nice aromas of blackberry, currant, roses and spices. This had very nice flavors of cherry, blackberry, earth and a tug of iron on the finish. Finish lasted for about 20-25 seconds. Very nice wine from the wine team that makes Dominus.

Somewhat forward fruit and bright acid with well integrated tannins. Moderate complexity. Well liked by the tasting group.
