This bottle is classic and beautiful. Very closed right on open with fruit hiding and a strong woody and tobacco note. Red cherry and red berries with a cedar and tobacco note throughout. As it opens up, it become a bit more fruit driven and richer. High acidity keeps everything bright, but it's really how well the wine kept opening up and never faded over 4 hours that really impressed me. A cooler vintage with a late start and challenging finish with heatwaves coming through and speeding up ripening, this bottle shows excellent balance and as if everything was done right despite needing to balance picking for cab franc, merlot, cab sauv, malbec and petit verdot. I can imagine this wine has a good 10 more years and I hope I find another bottle to buy.

In the bouquet a bit lactic with dark cherries and some dusty impressions. On the palate a creamy wine with red cherries, some sweetness, beautiful acidity and bitterness. The wine is still too young. For now 88+, but with potential for some point more. Wait at least until 2016.

Als voorgaande notitie, alleen kwam de wijn in deze setting beter tot zijn recht en score ik hem hoger.
