Consistent with previous notes only in a much more accessible window right now. Still good acidity and verve, the edges have rounded and tertiary notes emerging. Drink 2021-2025. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 90.

Really wanted to like this, and very much appreciated the low alcohol, and mostly good balance...except for the excessive amount of heavy char American oak. That element detracted from all this wine's finest qualities, including its suave nuance. Score it two or three points higher without the obtrusive lumber.

Opened and decanted an hour ahead of burgers and scattered weekend leftovers. Took about 2+ hours to open up. The nose is shy, but eventually brought blackcurrant and dried leather. The palate is big, square, and tight, bringing lush blackberries, blueberries, chocolate cherries, tobacco, and traces of mint, eucalyptus, and soy. The finish is thick and tannic, but overall, this brings a juicy acidity and is much more accessible than a few years ago. Drink now - 2026. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 91.

Not a big wine, leaning towards a lighter more acidic version (by CA cab standards anyway). Decent balance, good QPR, and after a couple hours the nose really opened up.
