  • This was my favorite at last week's tasting of rose wines at McCarthy & Schiering in Seattle (see: http://mccarthyandschiering.com/2010/09/taste/). It also happened to be the least expensive!

Despite being made from a varietal that is non-traditional for French rose (pinot noir rather than grenache etc.), this is very much like a traditional Provencal rose: Lovely pink color, lots of floral and red-berry fruit on the nose, very dry on the palate, and refreshing acidity. Very food-friendly. Would be a great picnic wine.

  • Rose with aromas of citrus. Acidic, crisp and clean. Clean finish. I have tried to like Rose but I am not a big fan.
