A deeply coloured rose that is red/orange. The nose is quite floral, with red fruit. There is some viscosity to the palate, where there is reasonable acidity and a trace of bitterness on the finish. A serious rose. Lovely.

My first Cotat rose, and what a wine it is. Like no other rose I’ve had. For a start, this is an electric, bright coppery pink in the glass. Then on the nose, it offers up lovely red berries, floral notes and a touch of minerality. Powerful and energetic on the palate, and thanks to the 15% alcohol, there is an incredibly textural and viscous glycerine mouthfeel. It’s still pretty fresh and nicely balanced. A wow wine and just lovely.

Poon's Supper Club: Didn't realise I had this two years ago but similar impressions to then. Darker in colour with riper, sweeter fruit compared to previous vintages. Fresh strawberry and watermelon fruit. Felt quite tight and young but was a crowd favourite.

To answer the question posed in my 2022 note, the wine is a notch better with the additional age. So rich and full yet crisp. A glorious bottle of rose to savor, not to quaff.

Warm vintage, big wine (15% ABV), soft but fresh palate, good but not excessive weight, watermelon and ripe red berries, flowers and spices, bright minerality, satiny texture, delicately meaty, good balance, rich finish. At Café Parlotte, Amsterdam, NL.
