  Surprisingly youthful. Dark clear crimson
  
  Decanted two hours, served low 60's F.
  
  Standard CSM characteristics retreating with age, notably a reduction in oaky sweetness, until the Camembert. Then it shifted up a gear to taut ripeness, fruit over sinewy tannins, leather, exquisite. Over the course of a meal it ranged from 89 to 93
  
  On the evidence of this, I'm going to have to hold some of my CSM longer than anticipated

  Medium purple, clear. Notes of oak, violets, deep earth, plum, grape. Dry with fresh acidity, and flavors of dark tea, plum, violets, mineral. Medium finish, a quite "grapey" wine.

  The nose has violets and pepper. Intense mouth feel that mellows out quickly. Almost velvety on the tongue Balanced tannins.
