Like a cross of pinot and gamay. A powerful and seductive nose of blackberry, white peach and moss. There's a lot of detail that you can take your time with, but it's so food friendly that there's nothing wrong with gulping it either (and at 11.5% you can do so quite easily.) The acidity dances on the palate and stands up surprisingly well to rather strongly-umami foods. The finish is of good length for the style, interesting and slightly savory (that is genuinely interesting, not "interesting.") Unique yet accessible. A dark, ripe gooseberry, eaten in a beautiful forest.

Defies gravity. Impeccably fluid from moment to moment. Unstable but in all the right ways. Lean, light, and silky smooth in its weight and texture. Intensely concentrated array of favors, from ripe strawberry up front to a dark claylike minerality. It finishes on a subtle, warm spicy note with a perfect acid/tannin balance. Simply brilliant.

A dark rose. Easy drinking with quite clean fruit flavors. Balanced.
