Aromas of dark cherry, sawdust, and some herbs. Medium to full body with similar flavors coming through on the palate. There is a burst of acidity on the finish that rounds this out well. Doing fine at age 9. ($20)
At first, the nose is really medicinal and band-aidish with a slight amount of cherry and some roasted herbs/tomatoes. After some air it calms down and becomes more fruity. Similarly, the taste is really hot and medicinal at first but calms down after a few minutes of air to reveal smooth cherry chocolate cola. The finish is a little hot, but is big and lasts for about 30 seconds. This wine kind of reminds me of the Carini Cuvee, but less elegant. It's good but is just barely worth $20. I recommend decanting this for at least a 1/2 hour before drinking.
